X-IT RITE RECORDS
presents
"Java With Javelyn Indie Music Volume 5 "
Compilation CD
GUIDELINES:
X-It Rite Records is calling for unsigned and artists/bands to submit
their best songs in competition for possible inclusion on the "Java
With Javelyn Indie Music, Volume 5 " compilation CD. If selected,
your music will appear on the Volume 4 compilation CD that will
be distributed directly to music industry creative executives in
A&R, music publishing, film & TV music as well as artist managers,
record producers, music attorneys, radio programmers and some of
the most cutting-edge independent music executives open to net talent
and music. The CD will also be given out and promoted at Java With
Javelyn events, online and other alternative outlets. (Besides
being distributed to the above-referenced conacts, our past compilation
CDs have been included not only in every live Java With Javelyn
Indie Music Nite shows, but also in various red carpet and grand
opening events (goodie bags) including the San
Diegan Life & Fashion Covermodel Search Event, Rock City
News Hollywood Big Event, MacWorld in San Francisco, Mac Day at
CBS Studios (including performances from some of the artists on
past JWJ CD Compilations), Marc Edwards Skincare Grand Opening Event
in West Hollywood, the Gala Event at the Civic Center in Torrance,
Shane's Inspiration Charity Show at The Knitting Factory, Westwood
Farmers Market, and other upcoming beneficial music, film and fashion
events). We have been successful in having
quite a few of the songs in the past three compilation CDs picked
up for films, podcasts, radio programs and the like - Check out
our testimonial page.
As
a winner, you will receive 50 free copies of the
CD that are yours to sell or distribute as you see fit. This will
allow all of the artists/bands on the compilation to have a chance
to be heard in regions/venues that may otherwise not have been accessible. We
will be looking for aggressive indie artists who have quality music.
We have also lowered the production fees to be able to make it more
affordable for the best artists we can find, so you will all be
in good company. Past artists have had their music picked up in
films, including one who was chosen to write the title track for
a film being shot in Texas, and another being chosen to write with
the main composer of a SAG feature. We get in a lot of nooks and
crannies, being located in Los Angeles, where it is hard for other
compilation CDs to find. As a bonus of being chosen for our compilation
CD, you automatically get preference at our Java With Javelyn Indie
Music Nite events which take place at least two times a month on
weekend nights in Los Angeles, and you become part of the JWJ family
from all over the world. We are fortunate that we are attracting
a large, quality indie artist music community.
OVERVIEW:
Compilations
are large collections of music from many different artists in many
different areas. By getting your music placed onto a compilation,
it is far cheaper then producing a whole CD yourself, and if you
already have, it's a way to open doors into areas previously unavailable
to you in being a part of something bigger than just yourself. Our
compilations will cost you a modest amount which covers our raw
production costs, including manufacturing, mastering, design, packaging
and promotions. We have a sponsor this year to help us defray our
costs, so we can give you a low production fee. We charge an upfront
fee because we do not take anything away from you or your music
- if a music supervisor or producer wants to work with you as a
result of being on our CDs, then they deal directly with you, with
no middleman. The only thing we do is try and make the transaction
as smooth as possible for you and them - we have created and maintain
some very good relationships with film companies and producers in
Hollywood and the entertainment industry as a result of our integrity.
We are proud of the quality and experience of the past artists who
have contributed to JWJ CD Compilations, Vols. 1, 2 and 3 - We have
developed great relationships with some of them as we are growing
in events and places to submit their music - we will be having a
special JWJ CD Release party to celebrate the new CD once we are
ready to release it in fall of 2010.
In
return for giving us the right to put your song on one of our JWJ
CD Compilations, you are given very professionally done copies of
the finished compilation to do with as you want. If you compare
with other compilation rates, ours are very reasonable and fair,
and the CD will be one everyone is proud of. Some artists give them
out at shows, some choose to resell them to recoup their money.
Either way, your music gets heard by people who are starved for
new music in places that you might never have had any exposure.
Plus, we get as many copies out there as possible, and are honored
to be in some good red carpet Hollywood events, If you run out of
copies, they will be available to the artists at a discounted rate
of $2.00. We are only choosing the highest quality independent music
recordings so everyone can be proud to pass this CD around, so please
send us your best stuff. Check out current
compilation for idea of what we are offering and quality of
artists we choose who will keep you company on this next CD compilation
should you be chosen to participate. We are starting to
be known by the quality of our CDs and have many open doors from
our last compilation CDs to send out this new one, so with the high
anticipation, we are looking for the best the indie world has to
offer.

Music Review & Selection Process:
Music submitted to X-It Rite Records will be reviewed by
a panel of recording industry professionals, as well as X-It Rite
Records staff. One of the main producers, Javelyn, has had her own
songs picked up on over nine CD compilations. and she brings this
experience as an artist into helping make a good, fair compilation
which WILL be heard and will be worth submitting for. Final music
selections are based, in part, on commercial potential, originality,
overall quality of performance and production. All decisions of
X-It Rite Records will be final and will not be subject to appeal
or review.
4.

by telephone, mail delivery or email. Song writer(s) and performers
